PatentlyStupid

I see stupid people...They're everywhere.....

Gotta love this, can you tell the cop was looking for a reason to pull it over.

"Officer Korey Lankow caught up to it and ran its “Y-U-M-M-Y” license plate to make sure it was street legal."

Nice guy just looking for an excuse to get his 15 minutes of fame. I call that fame profiling, where are my supporters we can start a whole new movement.

Well the likes of AT&T have been lined up at the gate for what 2 or 3 years now? And here it goes. The race that is to see who can screw consumers faster. The FTC has decided since there hasn't already been a "significant market failure" that we don't need protection from every tom dick and harry setting up a tool booth on the information super highway. Thats right they want to charge you more for faster and/or more data and our government has just given them the green flag.

Congratulations Arkansas Police on a job well done. Nothing like putting a choke hold on a desperate criminal who isn't even resisting you. While skate boarding may be against some silly ordinance in that town god forbid someone do something really nasty like jaywalk, why I bet that would be a shootin offense.

I cant even begin to imagine WTF these cops were thinking.

Lieutenant Curtis Milbourn says Lopez had a can of gas and a lighter in his hand at one point.

Milbourn says Lopez tossed gas at officers, but no one was hurt.

Texas Rangers are investigating whether a lighter found at the scene
could have contributed to the fire and whether a Taser can ignite
anything.

In the IP and IT circles Pamela Jones of Groklaw is fairly recognizable by name. Poor her, as a result she gets negative press and flack. The most recent is by Kimberly Hill of LinuxInsider on TechNewsWorld about the Microsoft patent BS. It suggest that one Laura DiDio of Yankee Group says Pamela did the OSRM patent study a few years back. This study and MS's patent claims of late are a huge whirlwind of controversy.

Ok, this one seriously goes into the Barney Fife book of law enforcement. Its a long story but basically guy rides bike away from airport. Barney yells at him, Barney stops him, Barney is a general rude miscreant and refuses to provide details of the real violation. Bicyclist gets on his bike and tries to leave as one of the officers had instructed. He is thrown off his bike and cracks his helmet on the ground (good thing he had it). Officer jerks bicyclist upright. Officer Barney then tasers him.

The charges;

For those of you who didnt hear, http://www.FatWallet.com is mentioning an upcoming free day at Six Flags in New Jersey. Last time a Six Flags did this, it tied up traffic for hours on end and the park closed its gates by order of the fire marshal 30 mins after they opened due to reaching capacity. Hopefully someone prosecutes them this time. They had to pull police from 3 counties on an emergency basis for this last time.

Ok meth is a problem. Agreed. So are nuclear warheads but you don't see the government outlawing the use of metal since you can use metal to make a frame for a warhead. For the past 6 or 7 years there has been a war on meth and I for one support them combating it but not this way. They are causing too many civilian casualties. First it was pseudophedrine, we lost it in NyQuil, Actifed, Sudafed, and hundreds of others, the few that remain, are behind the pharmacy counter due to an extension of the Patriot Act. Yeah you heard me right, are we fighting tweakers or terrorists here?

Please remember if you just up and decided to exercise your freedoms to use biodiesel you make yourself, youre a criminal and a tax evader unless you ok it with your local tax authorities! Remember to bring your papers with you and your check book because they are most likely going to ream charge you for the privilege of trying to save the environment. Remember its your fault that the local government is too busy to effectively write proper legislation covering this!

A story here explains just how to become a felon in Harrisburg. Video tape the police. Thats right! If you tape the police (with audio) you violate wiretapping laws.

Never mind they are public servants

Never mind they are a group with power over the public that is routinely charged with abuse of that power.

Never mind that if the cops did nothing wrong there is no harm in them taping the police action.
